Nature's Announcement
I went to bed last night to the song of the frogs. They have started to sing now every evening in full force. It reminds us all that the seasons are rapidly changing. This morning a little robin was chirping in our oak tree. I could hear him as I lay there watching the light brighten the room at 6 am. As I got my cup of coffee, I saw a large flock of geese flying northward over the valley, chattering loudly amongst themselves. These sights and sounds always bring hope that longer days are near. It is almost warm enough to sit with my coffee on the porch and listen to Le Puy's fountain, birds singing and smell the scent of newly forming buds and leaves. Mornings are always so peaceful. The light from the east is soft and its as if nature in its subtle ways is making its announcement - Spring is Coming!
